Honest Wrigley’s World Pokie Review

Post-apocalyptic themes are quite popular in the online gambling industry, but few studios make such immersive games as Red Tiger. It took me only a minute to imagine myself behind the wheel, driving through the wasteland, and I was stoked. Only a couple of spins were enough to spice things up.

The cartoonish design is a great nod to retro games, with Wrigley on the left side and his littered workshop in the background. Crisp visuals are accompanied by a rock soundtrack that turns up when the reels are spinning. It was difficult to grab any substantial prizes in this highly volatile adventure, but I snatched a few solid wins.

Ready, Set, Go!

The Red Tiger title does not award effortless prizes. Yet, I had a few winning streaks, landing decent payouts. Some pleasant surprises await, particularly during the bonus round, but it is nothing to write home about. Despite several impressive laps, the race was not mine to win.

Even though I did not win life-changing amounts, I had tremendous fun, which is the most important aspect of playing for me. Red Tiger utilised all the ingredients to make up a straightforward but wicked dish I might return to soon.

Still, Wrigley’s World has its fair share of flaws, starting from the measly highest bet of $4. It prevented me from dreaming of winning substantial amounts, which is never a good thing. Moreover, its RTP is low. However, the reasons to play the game are numerous.

The Fifth Gear

Although I am not into the theme so much, I felt at home in Wrigley’s World from frame one. The action takes place on a 5×3 playing area with 243 paylines, where 3 to 5 matching symbols on adjacent reels grant a win. Payouts are not so huge, particularly in the base game, but things get more interesting in the Free Spins round.

A trophy is the most lucrative regular symbol, paying 10x the stake for a line of 5. Other premiums include an exhaust pipe, a chained tyre, and a wrench, worth 5x, 4x, and 3x, respectively. Wilds carry a multiplier of 2x, replacing regular symbols in winning combinations, while Wrigley Scatters activate Race Spins.

You can start playing for only $0.10, but the highest wager is only $4, meaning the game is tailored to penny-pinchers and modest players. The maximum amount you can hope for is a bit more than $80,000. I did not land it, but you might be a better driver.

Features in Wrigley’s World

The game has traditional features and keeps it simple, but they were engaging enough to keep my eyes glued to the screen. They include Wilds, Race Spins and Bonus Buy.

Wilds

Wild symbols land with 2x multipliers and substitute regular symbols in winning combos. They doubled my payouts multiple times, hitting the three middle reels. Whenever a Wild symbol hits the reels in the Race Spins round, Wrigley gathers it on a meter. Each time 5 Wilds are collected, they double the present win, granting 5 new spins. I did it two times, but you might be even luckier.

Race Spins

Land 3 to 5 Wrigley Scatters to trigger the bonus round with 10 spins and a payout of 5x, 15x, and 50x, respectively. For every 5 Wilds collected on a meter, the current win is doubled, and 5 more spins are added. I did not fill the meter more than once per round, but it is possible.

Bonus Buy

I became impatient near the end and purchased the round on a whim for 70x the bet, but it did not bring me any remarkable wins. The RTP was reduced to 95.71%, but I did not notice any difference.

My Takeaway

Wrigley’s World is an exciting game that delivers an adrenaline-rushing experience not to be forgotten soon.

Set in an apocalyptic wasteland, it brings an action film atmosphere with thrilling features and decent wins.

An enjoyable, fun ride all around, this game is simple but fires on all cylinders, especially in the bonus round.

However, I must mention the mediocre highest bet and consequently low maximum win of about $80,000. It does not help that RTP is below the industry standard, standing at 95.72%.

Despite the odds, I had no trouble scoring wins, but they were mostly unimpressive. Still, I had a great time in Wrigley’s World and would get behind the wheel again.

Pros

  • imgExcellent audio-visual presentation
  • imgExciting theme, different from other Red Tiger pokies
  • imgThrilling bonus round

Cons

  • imgNarrow betting range
  • imgLow RTP
