Walking with dinosaurs is quite a dangerous activity, but in Raging Rex, it can result in lots of excitement and even hefty prizes. I was delighted to see the action started in the base game, with available extras making sure there was no shortage of thrill.

Wilds

T-Rex is the Wild, replacing other regulars to complete additional wins. Although it doesn’t award any payouts, the dinosaur has one crucial trait.

Rampage

The T-Rex Wild can appear fully stacked and visible on the reels. It appears in style, and its roar leaves quite an impression, but, more importantly, it triggers the Rampage feature. It’s a respin feature, with T-Rex moving a step closer to the leftmost reel with each subsequent respins. The rampage ends once the beast reaches reel 1.

Raging Free Spins

Initially, I was afraid to see the meteors falling, as we all know what happened afterwards. This time, the only thing they’ll do is trigger Free Spins. Landing 3, 4, 5, or 6 Scatters awards, 8, 15, 20, or 30 freebies, respectively.

During Free Spins, only 2 Scatters are enough to get more spins. Depending on the number of Scatters, it’s possible to add up to 20 of them per retrigger. There’s no limit to the number of spins that can be added to the tally, although I wasn’t lucky enough to get more than a couple of retriggers.

Before Free Spins actually start, the game will present 2 options:

• Wild Hunt – This option removes all stacked Wilds and adds multipliers to the T-Rex symbol. The available multipliers are 2x and 3x, but they can be combined to produce multipliers going up to a massive 243x. Personally, I prefer this option, as it can lead to significantly bigger payouts, provided you make the most of multipliers.
• Primal Rage – Choosing this one will see stacks of Wild symbols appear on reels 2, 3, 4, 5, and 5 on each spin, moving to a new position on the next spin. Additional respins can help boost the payouts, but reaching this goal can take a bit of time.
