Peaky Blinders represents the first-ever branded pokie from Pragmatic Play, and it was not an easy task for them. When the basis for the game is something so popular, it is always challenging to be up to the task. As a fan of the series, I was happy with the result, although it was far from a perfect game.

While the pokie looked good, and it felt good to play, I thought the studio played it a bit too safe. The aficionados will recognise many details in the game, but I am not sure it has enough ammo to appeal to those who do not adore the series.

It is clear the team has put a lot of effort into the design, from the photorealistic images to the famous Birmingham setting. The Nick-Cave-styled soundtrack completed the action, reminding me of its own greatness. The gameplay was dynamic and fast-paced, but not all its elements were great enough for this game.

I thought it was a nice touch to be able to hear some of the dialogue from the series, too. Parts of it were not particularly original, but it was a wild ride nevertheless. Pragmatic Play looked to add a touch of its own through the unusual features, and they were not too shabby.

Still, I have to mention a couple of drawbacks, too. It has a low maximum win and should not have been so safe. The audio-visual presentation was the best part of the game, and its characters and fans deserved better gameplay.
