A Player’s Review of Mega Moolah: Absolootly Mad

You all know the story of Alice and her adventures in Wonderland, eh? So, you are probably familiar with the part when the Mad Hatter organizes a tea party in his yard. You will not see animals sleeping and guests drinking tea in the most peculiar way. You will be left in front of the door.

This is where the action takes place. The translucent reel grid reveals the door that takes you to Mad Hatter’s home. However, it will not be easy for you to enter. You will love the graphics and the soundtrack because they fit the theme perfectly.

Behind the reels, you will find loads of cards, Rabbit’s pocket watch, and teacups. Above the reels, there is the golden teapot, which stores Mad Hatter’s hats, but more about that later.

Alice Does Not Appear on the Grid

Since this is Mad Hatter’s party, it is only normal for him to be the top-paying regular symbol of the pokie, eh? Actually, he is the only character from the story that appears here. The Cheshire Hat and the March Rabbit appear on top of cakes as decoration. Also, you have a butterfly on a cupcake.

It would not be a tea party without teacups and sugar cubes. The Rabbit’s pocket watch is also appearing on the reels. Even though I am not that fond of card suits acting as low-value icons, they fit perfectly in this story.

Mad Hatter’s hat is the Wild that substitutes for all regular symbols, while the door represents the Scatter that triggers free spins.

How to Play Mega Moolah: Absolootly Mad

The 2020 release is played on 5 reels, and 3 rows, and benefits from 243 ways to win. To pocket payouts, you need matching icons on at least 3 successive reels, beginning from the far-left reel. Betting starts at $0.20 and you cannot wager more than $50 per spin.

Mad Hatter is the top-paying icon on the reels, offering 10x the bet for 5-of-a-kind. The biggest non-progressive payout is 2,343x the bet per spin. Finally, there are 4 progressive jackpots that can end up on your account. The Triple Edge title is of medium volatility and has an RTP of 92.02%.

Features in Mega Moolah: Absolootly Mad

The original story is packed with action. That’s why I did not expect anything less from this pokie machine. The good people of Triple Edge did not disappoint. From the very beginning, you will enjoy loads of extras.

Every spin can bring you multiple wins boosted by increasing win multipliers. For that, we have Rolling Reels with the Multiplier Trail. Multipliers get even better in the Free Spins feature. The luckiest among you will benefit from the Progressive Wheel feature, which brings jackpots.

Rolling Reels feature

The Rolling Reels feature is active both in the base game and the Free Spins feature. As you all probably know, winning symbols disappear, allowing new icons to drop in and fill in the blanks. Hence, you can pocket several wins in a single spin.

Multiplier Trail feature

The Multiplier Trail feature is also active in the base game and during free spins. With every successive winning cascade, the multiplier goes up (1x, 2x, 3x, 5x in the base game and 3x, 6x, 9x, and 15x in free spins).

When it comes to the base game, I did not have that much luck with the Multiplier Trail. I got to the 5x multiplier only once. In most cases, I boosted my wins with a 3x multiplier.

Free Spins feature

Land at least 3 Scatters on the reels to trigger the Free Spins feature. You will get 8 free spins to begin with. The feature can be retriggered, so you can trigger up to 56 free spins. As mentioned earlier, the Multiplier Trail and Rolling Reels are active, delivering bigger multipliers, up to 15x.

It took me around 100 spins to trigger free spins for the first time. The most I got was 24 free spins at once. The Multiplier Trail was kinder in free spins, allowing me to reach 15x twice. My biggest win was around 1,000x, which was awesome.

Progressive Wheel feature

This feature is randomly triggered. However, you will collect every Wild that lands. More Wilds gives you more chances to trigger the Progressive Wheel feature. Also, higher stakes improve your chances. Even so, only the luckiest among you will reach some of the 4 progressive jackpots.

Once you trigger the feature, you will spin the Mad Cuckoo Jackpot Wheel and 1 of 4 jackpots will be yours – Mini, Minor, Major, or Mega. The lowest you can win here is $10. The Mega Progressive Jackpot starts at $2,000,000.

My Recap of Mega Moolah: Absolootly Mad

I love Alice and her adventure in Wonderland, so I had high hopes for Mega Moolah: Absolootly Mad. Fortunately, the pokie met most of my expectations. The visuals are awesome, as well as the soundtrack.

When it comes to additional features, there is enough action to attract action junkies.

Also, the game is quite easy to play, so even beginners can enjoy their stay at Mad Hatter’s tea party. Frankly, I expected more from the Multiplier Trail and Rolling Reels in the base game.

Either way, if Lady Luck smiles upon you, you can pocket massive wins. I rate Mega Moolah: Absolootly Mad 9.3.
